Poggio Antico
Montalcino

Poggio Antico sits on the highest point of the entire appellation, just south of the village of Montalcino.

From its highest vineyards, rising over 550 meters above sea level, you can often catch a glimpse of the Tyrrhenian Sea, shimmering some fifty kilometres to the west. The coast’s influence arrives as a steady breeze, helping to moderate both humidity and temperature.

Wines

Winery Visits and Tastings

Climb the hill that rises above the vineyards of Montalcino and follow the long, cypress-lined road. Poggio Antico is where Brunello reaches its “elevation”: from the estate’s 550 meters above sea level, the view opens onto the full palette of the Tuscan landscape.
